Kansas: Interview with Osawatomie 2,000 Yard Class of 2016 RB Riley England

Written by Charlie Beuttel

The Osawatomie Trojans located in Osawatomie, Kansas, 50 miles southwest of Kansas City, have had a great 2015 season as they finished the regular season 7-2. Now the Trojans must get ready for the 4A-II playoffs as they host Holton in the first round.

One reason for Osawatomie’s great success in 2015 has been their explosive offense which scores on average 42.4 points a game. The leader of the offense and one of the stars on the team is senior running back Riley England who leads the state in rushing.

The 5’11”, 195 pound, star has 2,252 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns this season which is an average of 250 yards a game. In his junior year in 2014, England had also had a great season with 1,800 yards. The rushing star is also averaging 8.8 yards per carry throughout his career at Osawatomie.

England is currently receiving interest from some community colleges and some local schools including Washburn and Pittsburg State and currently has an offer from Coffeyville Community College. The senior leader also excels in the classroom as he currently has a 4.0 GPA and plans on studying business in college.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Riley to talk about his high school career at Osawatomie and his recruiting process.
