When looking at gap fillers who eat up offensive lineman and can bring pressure up the middle, Tyreeke’e Robinson is among the best at his position in the country. The 2024 three-star out of Manatee High School (Bradenton, Fla.) has the size (6-2, 320), athleticism, and strength to be an instant next level contributor. Teams have laid down 17 offers with a pair of in-state squads out in front as Robinson starts planning official visits.
The time on the gridiron this offseason helped college programs become more familiar with Robinson’s style of play.
“Some teams that came by were Notre Dame, Maryland, UCF came again, Miami, UNC Charlotte, and a couple of others,” Robinson stated.
With the coaches on the sidelines, Robinson updated spring ball with the Hurricanes.
“Spring went well for me,” Robinson shared. “I got better, I got in some work. I worked on my technique this spring.”
Robinson continued, “I was working on my get off. I have a good strike, but I was really trying to focus on getting off that blocker faster.”
As the offers flow Robinson’s way, college coaches are telling him what they like about his game.
“They like my size, my get off, and my first initial strike to push that o-lineman back,” Robinson said. “They like my pursuit, like how I run down screens.”
Two teams continue to show interest in the 2024 defender.
“FSU and Alabama, they have sent some stuff to me about camp dates and getting up there,” Robinson stated. “I think those are the two that haven’t offered that are showing interest.”
UCF and Miami welcomed Robinson to campus this spring. The hours spent in Orlando were worthwhile.
“That went well,” Robinson shared. “When we showed up, their whole staff came out and introduced themselves to me. It was a great experience. I walked around the campus, saw the locker room, and saw their indoor and outdoor practice facilities. They had me put on a jersey and take pictures; it was a good experience.”
A great bond is building between Robinson and the Knights’ coaching staff.
“Coach Kenny Martin, their d-line coach, he is a great person,” Robinson said. “My experiences with him have all been great. He’s a great person to talk to.”
The Hurricanes have done their part to leave a great impression on Robinson as well.
“That visit went well,” Robinson stated. “I have been there maybe three or four times. Every time I have gone down there it has been a great experience. Hopefully once I get in contact with their coaches, I can take an official visit to these schools.”
More insight on Miami’s program was provided, “The campus, I like it. It is smaller than your typical college campus, but I think they have a good environment. Their coaches are energetic, and they have a great-great program.”
Robinson is mulling the possibility of six official visits.
“I am definitely looking at Miami and UCF, and I am trying to go to Auburn, USC, Texas, and Colorado on official visits,” Robinson shared.
A breakdown on the four out-of-state teams was given.
Auburn: “I like their coaches. They have a young team; I think they will have a good environment. I want to see how they operate. I haven’t been out of Florida ever; it will be great to go see some new places.”
Texas: “Coach (Bo) Davis, their d-line coach, I have talked to him a few times He came down here to visit me during spring. Like I said, I haven’t been out of Florida; to get out and see new places and environments will be good for me.”
USC: “They are a strong program. They are in the Pac-12, going into the Big Ten, and they are a good school. When I have talked to their d-line coach (Shaun Nua) and their head coach (Lincoln Riley), they told me USC is a good football program, but it is also a good academic program that is up there with the Ivy Leagues.”
Colorado: “Coach Prime (Deion Sanders) is bringing in all of these people, they are changing the entire team. They are not keeping it the same, you have to compete for your spot. He is trying to change the entire situation and culture there to make it a good program.”
There is no rush for Robinson to announce his next level fit.
“I’m willing to go into the season with my official visits,” Robinson said. “I don’t think I will make my decision anytime soon. Any school that will allow me to take an official visit, I want to see what they are working with.”
The offer sheet for Robinson includes Indiana, Louisville, NC State, Texas, UCF, Auburn, USC, and Miami.
