We’ve reached the second round of the Class 3A Playoffs as 16 teams have advanced and sixteen programs had their seasons ended. During the first round, we saw several lower seeds upset their opponent to advance and two teams get an unexpected bye as their scheduled opponent had to forfeit due to COVID-19.
There several marquee players all across these remaining rosters who are looking to lead their teams to the quarterfinals. These stars include St. James senior defensive end Saivion James (LSU commit), Booker T. Washington receiver Tyrese Johnson (Arizona commit), Lake Charles College Prep seniors quarterback Dillon Simon (South Alabama commit) and wide receiver Solomon Lewis (Louisiana Tech), Green Oaks junior receiver Decoldest Crawford (LSU commit) and senior linebacker Jaden Moore (Tulsa commit), Madison Prep junior defensive end Quency Wiggins, Jennings junior running back Trevor Etienne and St. Martinville junior defensive lineman Quinton Butler.
It will be exciting if we’ll see any upsets or will the top teams continue to advance towards the top of the mountain of Class 3A.
As of this writing, all eight games in the second round are good to go this Friday night.
