Shreveport’s Green Oaks High School is a football program on the rise. In 2019, the Giants finished 5-7 but made a sizeable jump reaching the second round of the state playoffs. In 2020, a tremendous group of seniors will be ready to lead their team deeper into the postseason, one of those key leaders will be running back Ja-Me’s Sanders.
Sanders had an outstanding junior campaign where he ran for 867 yards with 11 scores and had 267 receiving yards with four more scores through the air. This 5-9, 202-pound, play-maker has tremendous vision following his blockers to find his holes. Then he uses his speed to burst past defenders reaching that extra gear once he is out in the open.
This Class of 2021 prospect already has three college offers including one from the University of Houston, and is drawing interest from numerous other schools.
Sanders is working hard in the classroom where he has a 3.7 GPA. He is also working hard on the gridiron because he wants to be the next great Giant to make a name for himself at the collegiate level and beyond.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Ja-Me’s to discuss his career at Green Oaks and his recruiting process.
