Louisiana High School Football Week 10 Preview

Parkway Panthers (8-1, 4-1) @ Airline Vikings (7-2, 3-2)
These two teams will playing for higher playoff seeds as the regular season wraps up in Louisiana. Parkway could finish as high as tied for first in District 1-5A while Airline could finish as high as tied for second in district. Both teams have explosive offenses which will be showcased in this game.
Parkway has been led all season by senior Keondre Wudtee (Louisiana Tech) who has thrown for 2,079 yards and 18 touchdowns. Another offensive weapon for the Panthers is junior running back Robert McKnight who has 697 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.
Airline is led by senior quarterback Thomas McKain who has thrown for 995 yards and eight touchdowns and star running back Shun’cee Thomas who has rushed for 936 yards and 14 touchdowns. Another offensive weapon for the Vikings is Brian Fielding who has ran for 458 yards and seven touchdowns.
Evangel Eagles (8-1, 5-0) @ Byrd Yellow Jackets (8-1, 4-1)
Evangel is trying to win the District 1-5A title outright in their first year in 5A since 2004. While Byrd is hoping to finish in a tie for first at the top of the district standings. This is certainly one of the best games in the state as both teams have explosive offenses and lock down defenses.
Evangel has been led all season by junior quarterback Connor Curry who has thrown for 1,282 yards and 18 touchdowns. The leading rusher for the Eagles is senior Jamarquez Mims who has ran for 1,024 yards. Another offensive weapon is junior wide receiver Tanner Ash who has 398 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions.
Byrd has several leaders on offensive including senior dual-threat quarterback Deuce Caston who has 248 rushing yards, 594 passing yards and 11 total touchdowns this year. The Yellow Jackets also feature two solid running backs in Tray Allen and Tysen Hardman. Allen has 852 yards and nine touchdowns while Hardman has 412 yards and six touchdowns. Another offensive weapon for Byrd is Joey Jernigan who is the leading receiver on the team with 292 yards and five receiving touchdowns.
