Louisiana High School Football Week 6 Review

Parkway Panthers 49, Captain Shreve Gators 29
In one of the biggest individual performances in Week six in the state, Eric “EJ” Williams ran through the Gators defense for 225 yards and four touchdowns. Junior quarterback Amani Larry completed 5-of-6 passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns. The Panthers defense also came to play as David Bennett, David Morales and Israel Mukuamu all had at least 10 tackles.
Captain Shreve also put up some great rushing numbers as James Ivory III once again eclipsed the 200-yard mark finishing with 219 yards and three touchdowns. Darrell Fleming chipped in with 118 yards and a touchdown.
Evangel Christian Academy Eagles 44, Airline Vikings 7
In a tough defensive battle, the Eagles led 14-7 at halftime however the stars of Evangel came up with big plays in the second night cruising to a 44-7 win. Elijah Chatman, Ardarius Washington, and Patrick Jones scored touchdowns on both sides of the ball while Chatman, Myles Cole, and Micah Baskerville had multiple sacks.
Airline quarterback Brad Fream suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter and was forced to remain on the sideline the rest of the game. The Vikings lone score came in the second quarter as Brian Marshall returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown.
