Woodlawn Knights at North DeSoto Griffins

Both Woodlawn and North DeSoto are 4-1 entering Week 6, however the Knights are 2-0 in district play after defeating Bossier 44-21 last week. The Griffins suffered their first loss of the season and fell to 1-1 in district play after losing a tough 28-21 battle at Benton.

All season Woodlawn has been led by senior quarterback Trevion Youngblood and sophomore running back Trivensky Mosley. Mosley has 1,015 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns through the first five games. Youngblood is a dual-threat sign caller and has helped the Knights score over 45 points a game.

On the offensive side ball, North DeSoto is led by quarterback Kyler Radford who has over 400 passing and 400 rushing yards through the five games of the season. On defense the leader is senior linebacker Justin Gaskins who has over 50 tackles this season.

The big matchup to watch will be the North DeSoto defense against the explosive Woodlawn offense as the Griffins have held opponents to 21 points a game.

Minden Crimson Tide at Benton Tigers

Both teams are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in District 1-4A play. The winner of this game will definitely be one of the frontrunners heading into the second half of the season. Minden shutout Huntington 32-0 last week while Benton escaped past North DeSoto, 28-21.

Minden is led by junior dual-threat quarterback Antonio Rivette. Rivette has over 300 yards passing and 300 yards rushing on the year. The Crimson Tide offense averages 24.2 points games while their defense has only given 38 total points through the first five games.

Benton is led by sophomore quarterback Garrett Hable. Hable has already thrown for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns through the first half of the season. The Tigers offense has scored 37 points a game while their defense is only giving up 22.4 points per contest.
