Green Oaks @ Airline
In Week One, Green Oaks fell to Benton 41-30 while Airline shutout Union Parish 21-0. The 3A Giants will be looking to knock off the 5A Vikings for their first win of the young season while Airline looks to stay undefeated.

Last week Airline’s senior running back Shun’cee Thomas put on a great offensive show as he racked up 203 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns. Thomas has the talent and athleticism to put up another great showing in Week Two.

The Giants are led by senior dual-threat quarterback Jaylon Carey. In last week’s game Carey threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 59 yards and one more touchdown.

Huntington @ Captain Shreve
Last week Huntington won their season opener for the first time since 2002. The Raiders defeated Mansfield 22-21 last week and will try to take down Gators this Friday.

Captain Shreve fell in their opening game to Pineville 17-0 and are seeking their first win of the season. The game has extra importance to the players, fans, and staff as it will be the first home game since the death of longtime head coach Richard Lary, so emotions will be running high.

After rushing for 136 yards, running back Jeddrick Webster will have to use his speed to put together another great performance. Captain Shreve will be led by running back Damarcus McCall and athlete Julian Charles.

Benton @ Natchitoches Central
The Benton Tigers beat Green Oaks last Friday and will want to stay on the winning track as they travel down the interstate to Natchitoches to battle the Chiefs. Natchitoches Central lost on the road to North DeSoto (30-20) last week and will try to win their home opener.

Quarterback Gary Powell threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns last week and has his eyes on taking down the talented Tigers. Another key player to watch is wide receiver Austin Guy.

Benton is led by their sophomore quarterback Garrett Hable, who threw for 229 yards, and Jermaine Newton, who rushed for 103 yards in Week One.
