Head Coach: Marvin Harris
Mascot: Raiders
District: 1-4A
2014: 4-6
Location: Shreveport, Louisiana

Overview
After suffering through a disappointing 1-8 season in 2013 the Raiders took some giant steps forward when they finished with three more victories in 2014. Huntington could have had a few more victories if things had gone their way as three of their losses were by a combined 15 points.

Quarterback Aaron Roberson was the leader of the improved team last year but he has now graduated and attends Louisiana Tech. The coaching staff has now turned over the reins of this team to sophomore Larry Moton. Moton showed signs of excellence when he filled in while Roberson was injured for a few games last year and has his eyes set on leading this team to greatness.

A key game for the Raiders in 2015 will be when they host Benton on Sept. 25. Huntington lost 14-7 to Benton last year and look to take down the district favorites.

Offense
Huntington scored 18.3 points a game in 2014. With Moton leading the charge, the Raiders could be even more explosive in 2015. The 5’10”, 160 pound, quarterback has improved on his passing ability this offseason and has the ability to scramble for yards if the pocket collapses around him. The leading returning wide receiver is senior Shordaveen Ashley (6’3″, 170). Ashley will be a tall target to catch long passes down field from Moton. Another offensive weapon is running back Jeddrick Webster (5’9″, 180). The Raiders’ offensive line is led by senior Fard Burrell (6’2″, 262) and junior Quinton Roque (5’9″, 300 pounds).

Defense
The Raiders defense gave up 28.3 points a year ago but should improve in 2015. Huntington will have a young but talented defense ready to slow down opposing offenses this year.

One of the leaders is senior defensive end Ashanti Malone (6’3″, 215). A rising star in the middle of the field is sophomore linebacker Jaiden Martin (5’10”, 182). Another linebacker is senior T.J. Marshall. Two skilled junior defensive backs are War’Vreunta Moore (5’6″, 150) and Ja’Corey Thomas (5’6″, 150). This defense should definitely be improved from last year.
