Louisiana: Interview with Lafayette WR Jaelyn Price

Written by Charlie Beuttel

In 2014, the Lafayette Lions finished 4-6 and fell one game short of making the playoffs. Going into the 2015 season expectations were higher surrounding the team as the Lions returned the majority of the team including offense weapon Jaelyn Price.

Lafayette has started off the 2015 season 2-0 after winning at Peabody, 39-21, and then defeating Opelousas, 48-12, in their home opener.

One of the reasons for their early season success is the greatness of Price. The senior wide receiver had 31 receptions for 400 yards and six touchdowns in 2014 and has six catches for 65 yards and one touchdown so far in 2015. The 6’0″, 160 pound, athlete also has returned two punts for touchdowns in his first two games this year.

Price went to five college camps this past summer and has received interest from UMass. This weekend, he will take his first unofficial visit to Stephen F. Austin.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Jaelyn to talk about his high school career and his recruiting process.
