Shreveport and Bossier City are located in northwest Louisiana. The two towns are located right next to each other with the Red River dividing them. This area along with the small towns surrounding them have a rich history of producing football talent.
The most famous athlete to come from this area is NFL Hall of Famer quarterback Terry Bradshaw who attended Woodlawn in Shreveport. Other notable football players include former San Diego Chargers running back Jacob Hester and former quarterback John David Booty who attended Evangel Christian Academy. Some current college players to come out of northwest Louisiana include current LSU quarterback Branden Harris who attended Parkway in Bossier City, Louisiana Tech star wide receiver Trent Taylor who also attended Evangel Christian Academy, and Texas A&M defensive back Donovan Wilson who attended Woodlawn.
On National Signing Day, football players from Shreveport, Bossier City, and the surrounding area signed with colleges all over the country and are looking to make a name for themselves at the collegiate level. The following is a breakdown of where the top talent in the area signed on NSD.
