On the recruiting trail, even when you are winning, like what Louisville did landing four-star running back Colin Wilson, there can be a step back taken when a player decommits. On Friday, the Cardinals lost junior college safety TJ Jallow.
Jallow had been part of the Cardinals 2017 recruiting class since Feb. 18. after a freshman season where he secured 24 tackles in nine games with an interception and a fumble recovery helping East Mississippi to an 8-1 finish, 6-0 in conference play. From the outside in, Jallow’s decommitment from Louisville is a shock. The Cardinals offered him in high school when he was playing for Olive Branch (MS).
Louisville fans found out about the decommitment on Twitter with Jallow posting:
The Lions are once again one of the better teams in the JUCO ranks posting a 7-1, 6-0, record thus far. In seven games played, the 6-1, 205 pound, sophomore has 22 tackles, a fumble recovery, and four passes broken up. Interest and offers have continued to come in for Jallow with reported offers from Memphis, Texas-San Antonio, Louisiana Tech, Kansas, Iowa State, Middle Tennessee State, UAB, and Southern Miss.
Louisville’s class is now ranked No. 30 in the nation, per 247Sports, No. 6 in the ACC. The class got a big boost on Wednesday when Wilson joined the group.
