LSU Adds Second QB to 2017 Class with Former Auburn Commit Lowell Narcisse

LSU fans were disappointed on July 27, 2015 when native son Lowell Narcisse committed to the Auburn Tigers. Throughout the 2015 season, the Tigers hosted the Saint James area talent time and time again for unofficial game day visits which stretched into offseason visits in the new year. On Jan 12, Narcisse decommitted from Auburn opening a door for LSU.
Narcisse jumped onto the recruiting stage during his sophomore season passing for 3,124 yards with 31 touchdowns against 13 interceptions for Saint James High School. The dual-threat also led his team in rushing yards running for over 1,400 with 18 more touchdowns. The Wildcats went from an 8-5 team in 2014 to 11-4 in 2015 making a run to the Louisiana LHSAA state championship game before falling 41-14 to Lutcher. Narcisse sat out the 2015 regular season after injuring his knee during the spring but returned for the team’s final three games passing for 296 yards with six touchdowns hitting 23-of-36-passes without a pick and added 305 yards on the ground with four additional scores off 50 totes.
When Narcisse decommitted from Auburn he posted his announcement via Twitter reading, “I think I rushed and made a premature decision. I still plan to communicate and nurture a relationship with them. But at this time I will open my recruitment back up.”
Narcisse made his announcement late Sunday night or early Monday morning posting his decision on Twitter once again:
LSU now has seven verbal commitments to their 2017 class. The quarterback spot appears to be filled up with now after landing Myles Brennan on April 23.
