TAMPA, Fla. – A list of 10 favorites in June is getting slimmed down to a handful of contenders. In the stratosphere on the offer sheet, Eddy Pierre-Louis (6-3.5, 320) has taken two official visits this summer, is down in Miami this weekend, and has two potential paid for trips coming this fall.
The top schools list in June included Miami, Oregon, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, USC, UCF, and Florida.
Four recent trips have been taken, two were official visits with the Knights and Sooners.
“This summer I have been to UCF, Oklahoma, down to Alabama, and I am going down to Miami today (Friday),” Pierre-Louis stated.
The four-star offensive lineman recapped his June 2 official in Orlando.
“That official was great,” Pierre-Louis shared. “It is more than recruitment over there; I’m chilling with all the staff members and the players that go there as well. It was a great experience with good people overall.”
Asked about the behind-the-scenes recruiting taking place among the Knights’ prospects, Pierre-Louis replied, “It is a great feel talking to recruits because the recruits and I are really close. We are all cool with each other. We all want to play ball together.”
Details from the mid-June OV with the Sooners were covered.
“It went great as well,” Pierre-Louis said. “Coach (Bill) Bedenbaugh is one of the best o-line coaches, probably the best. Having him by my side teaching me the game of football, helping me perfect my craft more, and teaching me techniques, I learned some great skillsets.”
With the focus on Oklahoma, Pierre-Louis spoke about his private talks with another Florida central gulf coast prospect, IMG Academy 2024 five-star defensive tackle David Stone.
“Stone and I, we talk almost every day,” Pierre-Louis stated. “My boy and I are really close. We talk about recruiting all the time. He ain’t rushing me with the process either, because he still doesn’t know where he wants to go. But we have been talking about teaming up together.”
The unofficial with the Crimson Tide was a success.
“It went well,” Pierre-Louis shared. “I talked to some of the current players. I was down there last summer, so I had already got a glimpse of everything. It was really cool. One of my teammates, Jameer (Grimsley), he committed to Alabama; that is that team chemistry right there.”
Friday afternoon, the Tampa Catholic standout headed south down I-75 to spend time with Miami.
“I am really excited,” Pierre-Louis said. “I visited last this spring; I am trying to see what is new with everything. I’m trying to see how the city is and everything. I already have a good relationship with the team and the coaches. I really enjoyed my visit last time.”
Two more key stops could take place during the college football season.
“Oregon, probably, for an OV as well,” Pierre-Louis stated. “I’m trying to get to Tennessee as well for an official.”
