Mississippi State Lands Three Commits for 2017 at Big Dawg Camp

Mississippi State made a big push forward in the trenches on Friday night landing two offensive line and one defensive tackle commits during the Bulldogs Big Dawg Camp.
The first of the three commitments was East Mississippi Community College guard Tyre Phillips. Phillips tips the scales at a reported 350 pounds standing at 6-foot 6-inches. Phillips posted his decision via Twitter reading, “It feels great to be apart [sic] of the Mississippi State family. #HAILSTATE #Commited [sic]”
Defensive tackle Deion Pope, another Mississippi junior college recruit, was the second to join the Bulldogs 2017 class. The Copiah-Lincoln talent shot onto recruiting boards after coming up with 42 tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, and 7.5 sacks during his freshman season. The 6’4”, 275 pound, talent hard reported offers from Auburn and USC with interest from Alabama, West Virginia, Kentucky, and South Carolina.
Offensive tackle Cordavien Suggs gave MSU head coach Dan Mullen his second Florida commit in the 2017 class joining linebacker Tyler Dunning. With Suggs, MSU now has five offensive lineman committed.
Suggs, listed at 6-6, 282 pounds, also made his commitment public on Twitter posting, “I’m officially a DAWG [Committed] #HailState.”
MSU has a balanced and set class able to take on a couple of top players available to fill out the class before National Signing Day.
