The clock has hit zero on the outstanding career of Cole Ruble at Seckman High School. The 5’10”, 185-pound, athlete ran for a whopping 2,600 yards and 46 touchdowns while leading the Jaguars to a 9-2 record this fall. Ruble wraps up his career with 8,511 total offensive yards including 6,795 on the ground and 96 total touchdowns.

Cole has tremendous speed and vision and plays with great leadership as he took pride in having the ball in his hands and carrying his team on his shoulders.

The Seckman star has earned an offer from Southeast Missouri State and is currently verbally committed to the program.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Cole to talk about his stellar senior season and his recruiting process.

Interview

What are your thoughts on your individual performance in 2022?

I thought it was pretty good. I definitely could have had more ball control. Overall, I had a good season.

What was your most memorable moment and why?

I scored the game winning touchdown against South.

What are your strengths on the football field?

My speed and my vision when running the ball. I’ve always had the ability to hit the holes and make plays.

What kind of offense did your school run?

We ran a Wildcat offense. I carried the ball most of the time and only threw three times a game.

How did your skills fit into this offense?

They fit well because when I got to open space, I was able to break tackles and make plays.

Is there an NFL player that you try to model your game after?

Ezekiel Elliot; I was two touchdowns away from breaking his single season touchdown record.

What is your fastest 40-yard dash time?

4.39.

What do you like most about playing running back?

I like putting the weight on my shoulders and carrying the team.

Do you have any college offers?

Butler, Benedictine, and right now I’m verbally committed to Southeast Missouri State.

Have you gone on any visits?

Two weeks ago, I went to Southeast Missouri State. I enjoyed meeting the players and the campus is small enough to make it to class and everything on time.

What do you want your legacy to be after you graduate?

I want to be known as a hard worker and people to realize that nothing comes easy.

What do you want to study in college?

Education so I can be a football coach one day.

What is your GPA?

2.9.

Thank you for your time.

Thank you, sir.
