Missouri: Interview with Blue Springs South 2016 RB Adam Cofield
Written by Charlie Beuttel
The Blue Springs South Jaguars are having a great season streaking to 12-0 after beating Jefferson City, 48-21, in the second round of the Class 6 playoffs and advance to the quarterfinals where they will face Howell in St. Charles, Missouri. This is quite an accomplishment as the Jaguars won a total of 11 games in the past two seasons.
One of their keys to their undefeated season is the Jaguars explosive offense which averages just over 34 points a game. One of the leaders of this great offense is senior running back Adam Cofield. The 5’10”, 190 pound, workhorse has 962 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns and 185 receiving yards and one more touchdown.
The senior leader not only excels at running back but also spends time at outside linebacker where he has 68 total tackles including eight for a loss and three sacks.
Cofield is currently receiving interest from Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado State and currently has four Division-II offers from North Dakota State, South Dakota South, Western Illinois, and Southeastern Missouri State.
The senior star also works hard in the classroom as he currently holds a 3.2 GPA and has plans to study sports medicine in college.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Adam to talk about his high school career including about his memorable senior season and his recruiting process.
