Missouri: Interview with Lee’s Summit West Class of 2016 DB Bennett Fredrickson
Written by Charlie Beuttel
Lee’s Summit West has gone through two straight six-win seasons after winning the Missouri Class 6 state title in 2013. The 2015 season ended in disappointment as the Titans fell to Kickapoo in the second round of the playoffs, 26-7.
The strength of Lee’s Summit West’s team this year was a defense that only gave up 19.5 points a game. One of the leaders of this defensive unit this past two years has been defensive back Bennett Fredrickson.
Fredrickson had a great senior season finishing with 72 total tackles, five interceptions and one fumble recovery. The 5’11”, 170 pound, senior used his great vision to make the right calls on the field as he led the Titans secondary.
Fredrickson is receiving interest from and has gone on an unofficial visit to Northwest Missouri State. The senior currently has a 2.5 GPA and has plans on going to law school.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Bennett to talk about his high school career at Lee’s Summit West and his recruiting process.
