Isaac Robinson has had a stellar senior season at Elkhorn High School while helping lead the Antlers to a 6-1 record through the first seven games of the season. The 6’0”, 205-pound, linebacker has racked up 50 total tackles, three pass break-ups, two forced fumbles, and one sack on defense while chipping in with 141 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns on offense.

Robinson possesses great vision, speed and strength to be able to move sideline to sideline to make tackles. He also has good athleticism and footwork which he uses on both sides of the ball. This Class of 2021 recruit currently has two college offers most recently from Wayne State and is also garnering interest from several Ivy League Schools.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Isaac to talk about how his senior season is going and get an update on his recruiting process.

Interview

Isaac, how would you grade your individual performance so far in your senior season and why?

I would give myself an A for this season. I feel like all my offseason work is paying off and I am doing the best I have ever been, but there are always ways to improve.

What are your strengths on the football field?

My strengths on the football field are being able to see the field at linebacker and being able to run sideline to sideline and get tackles.

What is one area of your game that you’ve seen the most improvement in since the start of the season?

I have improved the most at open-field tackling this year.

Have you received any offers since our first interview?

Since our first interview I have received offers from SMSU and Wayne State.

Which schools are showing you the most interest at this time?

Right now, I have been talking to Wayne State and just got offered, but I have also been in contact with Ivy League schools like Brown and Cornell.

How do your skills translate to Elkhorn’s defensive scheme?

My skills translate to Elkhorn a defensive scheme because I am able to fill the hole the running back is trying to run through. Our defensive line is extremely good, so they will either force him right to me or to the outside and right to our outside linebackers and secondary.

What is your practice and workout routine during game week?

During the week I lift from 5:4 to 7:00 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

What game left on the schedule are you most looking forward to playing?

The game left on our schedule that I am looking forward to playing is Skutt. It is always a battle when we play each other and we both have great teams this year.

What do you want your legacy to be when you graduate from Elkhorn?

When I graduate from Elkhorn, I just want to be able to say that I gave my all in every single game and left it all on the field. I love the guys on the team and I would go to battle with them any day.

What is your GPA?

My GPA is 3.5.

Isaac, thanks for your time today and good luck with the rest of your senior season.

Thank you.
