Interview

Isaac, what are your thoughts on the 2019 season?

“I feel that I accomplished most of my goals in the 2019 season. I feel that I stepped up and excelled at my role on the team on defense and even on offense.”

How would you grade your individual performance last year and why?

“I would grade my performance last year a B-plus. I did really well but there is always room for improvement and tons of ways that I can excel in order to be a predator next season.”

What are your strengths on the football field?

“One of my strengths would definitely be my physicality. I am much bigger than most of the receivers that I guard and I use that to my advantage. I am also very good at reading the quarterbacks’ eyes because I also played a lot of quarterback, including in some varsity games my sophomore year.”

What are some challenges that you faced last season?

“The biggest challenge for us was moving up from Class A to class B. I felt like we held our own for the most part especially for it being our first season in Class A.”

How did you overcome this challenge?

“We put in a lot of work in order to overcome the challenges. We put in a new spread offense that was completely different from the previous year but everyone came in during the summer and we got it down.”

Did you receive any individual honors?

“I got All-Conference runner up and All-Conference academic honors.”

What was your most memorable moment?

“My most memorable moment was my first pick-six; I took it almost 50-yards to the house.”

What are you working on this offseason?

“I am working really hard on my footwork and speed this offseason, as well as improving my ability to read receivers.”

What do you like most about playing defensive back?

“I love the new challenges I face in every game with a different receiver who has different skill sets.”

Is there a past or present NFL player that you try to model your game after?

“I love watching old highlight tapes of Deion Sanders; I love the way he played.”

What schools are you showing you interest?

“I have talked to Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota State, Dartmouth, Cornell, Army and Harvard.”

Have you been to any college camps?

“I haven’t been able to make it to any camps yet, just 7v7 tournaments and an All-American Game, but I hope to show out this summer.”

What was your favorite 7v7 tournament?

“I liked playing in Chicago with my 7v7 team. We have a ton of talent and we also played some highly competitive teams.”

Do you play any other sports in high school?

“I run the 100 meter and long jump in track, and I am a point guard for my high school basketball team.”

What is your fastest 40-yard dash time?

“My fasted 40 time is 4.6.”

What is your GPA?

“I have a 3.55 GPA.”

Do you have a favorite quote or Bible verse?

“My favorite Bible verse is James 1:12.”

What do you like most about playing at Elkhorn?

“What I love most about playing for my high school is the atmosphere. I love playing for my name and for my school in front of all the fans. There is absolutely no better feeling then standing on the field and looking up hearing all of the fans screaming and getting in to the game.”

Thank you for your time.

“Thank you, sir.”
