The Mean Green pushed their 2017 recruiting class to 11 commits on Wednesday when in-state safety Makyle Sanders joined the group.
Sanders has earned his way to the next level playing against tough Lone Star State 6A competition. The Raiders fought to a 5-4 season in 2015 but had a frustrating 2016 campaign losing four games by a touchdown or less.
Sanders flew under the radar with his lone reported offer coming from North Texas. The 6-2, 178 pound, safety posted his commitment on Twitter writing, “Excited to say that I am committed to The University of North Texas!! #UNTouchable #UNT21.”
