The Cowboys had another solid season in Mike Gundy’s 16th year at the helm as Oklahoma State finished 8-3 overall and third in the Big 12 Conference. Coach Gundy and his coaching staff are always fighting to get to the top of the mountain but always struggle to get past their big brothers in Norman.
During the early signing period in December, the Cowboys locked up 20 letters of intent from skilled prospects who are ready to make their mark in Stillwater and helped take Oklahoma State to the top of the Big 12.
The Cowboys’ top-rated recruit, who signed early, is four-star defensive tackle Aden Kelly from Thomas (OK). Kelly was rated the fourth-best prospect in the state. One area of need that Oklahoma State addressed was depth on the offensive line. Three transfers including Caleb Etienne from Butler Community College, Danny Godlevske from Maryland, and Chandler Anthony from North Texas are all nice additions to the offensive line and will come up big in the trenches for the Cowboys. Two prospects, Bryson and Blaine Green, out of Allen (TX) are some new key pieces for the wide receiving corps.
Oklahoma State’s 2021 recruiting class currently ranks third in the conference behind Oklahoma and Texas, No. 37 overall nationally with 20 commits (2 4-Stars and 18 3-Stars), but all these early signees have goals of taking this program passed their two biggest rivals.
