Recruiting for Oklahoma State is taking off, especially over the weekend with the Cowboys landing two running back recruits. On Friday, Georgia tailback JD King committed to OSU and on Sunday the Cowboys landed four-star Canadian talent Chuba Hubbard.
Hubbard is about as prolific a running back as one could want coming out of high school. His junior season was one for the ages rushing for a reported 3,213 yards with 40 touchdowns. His sophomore season was impressive as well rushing 111 times for 1,337 yards with 15 scores.
Blessed with size and game breaking speed, Hubbard appears to be the complete package. If his speed was ever in doubt, he is a three-time Canadian 100-meter champion.
Landing Hubbard was a big win for the Cowboys. The 6’1”, 190 pound, athlete had offers from Alabama, Cal, Oregon, Oklahoma, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Washington State, Texas A&M, TCU, Syracuse, Pitt, and North Carolina, just to name a few.
Hubbard made his commitment official on Twitter posting:
After reeling in the top rated player in Canada, the Cowboys’ 2017 recruiting class now has 10 verbal commitments. Seven of the ten commitments have come since March covering Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, and now Canada.
