When a play was needed, a big third down stop or a goal line stand, Ian Dietz was there for Joe T. Robinson High School last season. The 6-4, 205-pound, linebacker covered ground for the Senators dropping 63 ball carriers during an 11-2 campaign against 5A Arkansas competition. The 2024 prospect is gearing up for the summer days ready to show next level scouts what he can do on the field.
Dietz shared the interested programs, “UCA (Central Arkansas), Memphis, I talked with one of their assistant coaches yesterday, Jeff Myers (OL), Oklahoma Central (UCO), and Henderson State.”
Dietz passed the eyeball test earning a camp invite with the Tigers.
“The meeting went great,” Dietz stated. “He gave me an invite to camp and to see their facilities in June. He said he saw my film, and thought I was a great player.”
Spring visits were taken to UCA and UCO. The time with the Bears in Conway was covered.
“It went well,” Dietz shared. “I thought the campus was really nice, and I got to meet some of the players.”
Over the weekend, Dietz competed in a local football camp.
“On Sunday, I went to a Monster Camp,” Dietz stated. “I did very well there. I had a couple of coaches talk to me there.”
Leading into the summer camp circuit, Dietz is looking at possible camps with UCA, Henderson State, and Memphis.
