Nothing official has been announced, but the feel is Eddy Pierre-Louis’ recruitment is taking a turn to the serious. The Tampa Catholic (Fla.) offensive lineman has made the rounds this spring visiting ACC, Big 12, Pac-12, and SEC teams. The likely next turn of visits will be officials after spending the weekend in Eugene.
Miami, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, UCLA, Tennessee, and UCF are some of the teams that have welcomed Pierre-Louis this offseason. Over the weekend, it was Oregon’s turn.
“The Oregon visit was great,” Pierre-Louis said. “I loved it. They treated me like family. My mom enjoyed it as well.”
Pierre-Louis added, “We visited the school, including the business school side, and saw the city of Eugene. I watched some of their scrimmage.”
The four-star talent gave his thoughts on seeing the Ducks’ offense in person.
“The offense is great,” Pierre-Louis stated. “I love the way they use their guards; they have them pulling. That’s where I see myself.”
Oregon’s coaching staff gave their recruiting pitches to Pierre-Louis while on campus.
“They were talking about the opportunity to play early, they need offensive linemen because there is a lack of depth,” Pierre-Louis said. “They showed and talked about how family is important.”
Did the time in Eugene help push the Ducks’ up Pierre-Louis’ private board?
“Our relationship is really tight,” Pierre-Louis shared. “They impressed me. I can see myself playing there.”
Pierre-Louis has not set up official visits yet, but he did share which teams are making that push to stay connected.
“Oregon, Alabama, Miami, USC talks to me here and there, and Georgia,” Pierre-Louis stated.
