Oregon picks up under the radar California OT Logan Bathke
Written by Ryan Wright
The offseason was a busy time of the year for Lutheran High School offensive tackle Logan Bathke. In February the Orange, California prospect picked up his first offer from Kansas and in a few months had seven offers on the table including one from Oregon.
Late Tuesday night Bathke verbally committed to Oregon becoming their 11th commitment to the 2016 recruiting class. Logan officially announced his commitment via Twitter on Wednesday writing, “Thanks to all the coaches that have recruited me but I have officially committed to Oregon. #goducks.”
Bathke, 6’5”, 260 pounds, has a frame to build upon. In the tradition of previous Oregon Ducks offensive lineman, he is quick for his size and has a moldable body that could be shaped into a tackle or guard at the next level.
Oregon secured Bathke’s commitment over offers from Arizona State, Cal, Arizona, Nevada, San Diego State, and UCLA.
Bathke is the second offensive line recruit Oregon has received a pledge from and the sixth from the state of California.
