Interview
Austin, you had over 300 yards and five touchdowns versus Mill Creek, when did you find your groove out on the field?
“Early on honestly. I mean, we’ve had a whole off-season to prepare for this game and this opponent so everything just clicked on offense from the start.”
How do KD Alford and five-star UGA commit Dominic Blaylock make life easy for you throwing the ball?
“Those guys are special, and talented, so it makes everything easy for me when I can distribute the ball in space to two of the best wideouts in the country.”
Coming onto a big stage like Corky Kell in the Mercedes Benz Dome, what’s it like to play in front of a huge crowd like this?
“It’s an amazing experience. The atmosphere is awesome. Being from Georgia, we couldn’t ask for a better place to play.”
Walton came out on a big state versus a great opponent in Mill Creek and played well on both sides of the ball, what kind of hope does that give you for the rest of the season?
“It’s funny because our scrimmage didn’t go that well last week, but we came out hungry and focused. The tempo, control, and focusing on details is what put us over the top tonight.”
You are a Nevada commit how was that official visit and how’s the life in Reno, Nevada, compared to Georgia?
“Nevada is amazing, and I love coach Jay Norvell. The staff texted me before the game and also tuned in so I’m pumped.”
Do you plan to enroll a semester early to attend Nevada?
“Yes, sir. I will be enrolling at Nevada in January.”
Austin, thanks for your time and congratulations on a big game in Week 1.
“Thank you.”
