Pylon Camp Orlando QB MVP JP Pickles updates recruitment
ORLANDO – One thing is true about JP Pickles (6-1, 200), the 2024 quarterback can rip it. The North Florida Christian (Tallahassee) prospect torched defenses for 2,382 yards with 39 touchdowns while rushing for 620 yards with nine more scores posted. Those talents were on display over the weekend at the Pylon camp in Orlando where Pickles took home QB MVP honors.
After the big junior season, Georgia Southern, Troy, Arkansas State, and Baylor are among the teams showing interest with offers down from Kent State and Charlotte.
Pickles updated his spring visit schedule, “I visited Troy, and I am planning on going to Kent State and I will also be at Arkansas State. I will also be going to Georgia Southern in April.”
The Trojans’ coaching staff made an impression on Pickles during the visit.
“It was a lot of fun,” Pickles said. “Their facilities are really great up there, and the coaches, I love them.”
Over in Jonesboro, Pickles is vibing off the Red Wolves offensive scheme under head coach Butch Jones and offensive coordinator Keith Heckendorf leading to the planned visit.
“I like them, they are really cool,” Pickles stated. “I like their offense; I think I would fit really well there.”
Once college coaches make their rounds on high school campuses for spring practices and games, Pickles will set his collegiate summer camp schedule.
“I haven’t really made a list yet because coaches haven’t come through for spring ball yet but once they do, I will have a list of where I am going this summer,” Pickles shared.
