Interview
Kedon, who is your favorite USC Trojans quarterback of all time?
“There are so many great ones but I would have to say Sam Darnold. I’ve gotten to watch him a lot the past two years and he’s the type of player who plays better when the game is on the line.”
How does it feel to be one of the hottest QB names in the 2019 class?
“I’m really fortunate to have received all of this attention lately, but I wouldn’t have been able to get to this point without the help of my teammates and coaches.”
How has Desert Mountain head coach David Sedmak helped your career?
“Coach Sedmak has had a lot of great coaching experiences prior to being my coach at Desert Mountain, and he’s primarily helped me become a better leader.”
How would you compare yourself to former Desert Mountain QB Kyle Allen of the Carolina Panthers?
“I spent a lot of time in my youth watching Kyle Allen play at Desert Mountain, and I think we are similar in our abilities to move in the pocket and make quick adjustments to make throws down the field.”
What are your team goals this 2018 season?
“Our team goal is to win at-least 10 games this year but the goal of winning a state championship is always in the back of my mind.”
What is your favorite pre-game meal and hype song?
“I gotta go with pasta and “The Devil is a Lie” by Rick Ross and Jay-Z.”
You’re down by six points with only three seconds remaining on the 10-yard line, what is your go to call in the huddle?
“We were actually in a very similar situation last year down five points to our rival Chaparral with the ball on their 15 with one untimed down left in the game. We called a post concept to isolate the safety and ended up hitting the inside post for a touchdown to win the game.”
Kedon, thanks for your time today and good luck with the rest of your summer workouts.
“Thank you.”
