Quick Q&A interview with Class of 2016 California TE Cole Fotheringham
The future is very bright for San Clemente High School tight end Cole Fotheringham. The Class of 2016 standout already has offers from Boise State, Nevada, Utah, BYU, and Utah State entering his senior season. Before the 6’5”, 225 pound, target finishes his senior year more offers are sure to be dropped on the table with teams like USC, Washington, and Nebraska showing interest.
We quizzed Cole on all things football related in a previous interview but wanted to know more. We wanted to know what the Southern California talent is like off the field putting him through our on going “getting to know you” Q&A series.

Cole, what is your favorite movie?
“The Sandlot.”
Who is your favorite actor?
“I don’t know any actors, Christian Bale as Batman?”
What is your favorite TV show?
“Modern Family.”
What is your favorite book?
“That’s hard. I’ve read a lot of good books, probably Catcher in the Rye (J.D. Salinger).”
What is your favorite type of music?
“I don’t know, Alternative. I kind of like everything, but nothing too heavy.”
Do you have a favorite musician?
“I don’t have a favorite. I like Jack Johnson, The Strokes, Black Keys, and Bret Dennen.”
Do you have a favorite song?
“No, not consistently.”
What music do you listen to getting hyped?
“I don’t get hyped. Everybody else is listening to Metal and Rap, I’m trying to get relaxed. I don’t need to get hyped more than I already am.”
What hobbies do you have outside of football?
“I surf. I like going to the ocean. I spear fish and play guitar. I like hanging out with my friends.”
What is your favorite type of food?
“You would think I’d have all these answers down after prom but I can’t remember what I said. Probably steak and mash potatoes.”
Do you have a favorite game system?
“I don’t play video games. I stopped that in the eighth grade.”
Do you have a favorite Smartphone app?
“No, I don’t have any apps. I’m on Twitter and texting.”
What is your favorite subject in school?
“History this year. I like my history teacher a lot.”
Who is your favorite all-time athlete?
“Michael Jordan came into my head.”
What is your favorite holiday?
“Christmas.”
If you could be a superhero which superhero would you be?
“Oh man, I don’t know, Superman.”
Do you have a favorite professional sports team?
“I don’t have one. One of my friends was with the Steelers so I’ll go with the Steelers.”
