When Bastrop High School hits the field tonight against Shiloh Christian, high school football fans will be treated to a track meet style display of offense between the two programs. Arkansas Razorback fans may also be tempted to slightly cheer for the visiting Louisiana team when wide receiver Isaiah Graham has the ball in his hands.
Shiloh Christian (1-0) is coming off a video game offensive effort against Charleston winning 77-49. The game was highlighted by four Broc Berus rushing touchdowns and two passing and two running scores by quarterback Connor Reece.
Bastrop dropped their season opener 57-56 to Parkway (Bossier City) on a last second touchdown pass. Rams’ quarterback Jerry Powell threw two touchdown passes to Alfroncius Dowles and connected with Isaiah Graham on eight passes for 99 yards with a touchdown.
Graham was one of the more prolific receivers in the state of Louisiana as a junior coming up with 48 receptions for 1,138 yards with 20 touchdowns. As a sophomore, the 6’1”, 180 pound, target pulled down 38 passes for roughly 700 yards with 10 scores.
The Razorbacks are not the only top team in the nation interested in having Graham sign a letter of intent on National Signing Day. Graham also has offers from TCU, Arizona State, Cal, Texas Tech, Nebraska, South Carolina, Louisiana Tech, Miami, and Tennessee among many others.
