VENICE, Fla. – Those in the known knew it was only a matter of time before Ryan Matulevich started blowing up along the recruiting trail. The super sophomore was an integral part of Venice High School’s state championship game run leading the Indians in receptions (50) and receiving yards (673) with five receiving scores. Nine teams have handed over offers to Matulevich with scouts watching him in practice this spring.
Some of the offering programs for Matulevich include Arkansas State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Florida, West Virginia, and UCF.
*After the interview was posted, Matulevich received an offer from Appalachian State.
The Knights brought Matulevich to campus this spring.
“That was my favorite visit so far between the coaches and getting to watch them practice,” Matulevich said. “They showed a lot of love. I had a great time.”
Back in April, Florida welcomed the three-star to campus.
“It was good,” Matulevich stated. “I had a great time.”
Summer trips to college campuses for visits and camps are about to be set.
“I will go to a lot of camps to the schools I have been offered by,” Matulevich shared. “I want to see those schools like West Virginia and South Carolina.”
Expect the offers to keep flowing in for the 2025 prospect. At the Indians’ Wednesday practice, coaches from South Carolina, Pitt, UMass, Arkansas State, and Charleston Southern were on hand – that was just on one day.
“Pitt was watching me today,” Matulevich said. “A lot of Florida schools, when they came through, between Miami and all of them, were watching me. NC State was here this morning. I feel that after this year, when they come back, it will be different.”
