Kasimir Manczuk – he got game. The evolution of the quarterback position continues to amaze from where the game was even a decade ago. What eighth graders can now do on the field in and out of the pocket is lightyears ahead of those who dominate the game before them. Manczuk is one of those Class of 2028 players who has unlimited upside.
One can easily guess Missouri defenders are not accustomed to seeing someone like Manczuk (5-11, 165), and that would hold true for defenders in most states. Playing against his grade level during the 2023 schedule, Manczuk displayed the rifle for an arm, poise in the pocket, headiness to keep his eyes downfield ready to make the play while under pressure, and dual threat abilities that get the job done.
“We ran out of the gun, and some under center,” Manczuk said. “We were 60 pass and 40 run. Mainly, we passed the ball. We had two really good receivers.”
Manczuk continued, “The routes in our offense, we ran fades and slants, those were the two biggest ones, and some corners. At our middle school, we only use half of the high school’s playbook.”
Asked about the strengths to his game, Manczuk replied, “I feel like my arm strength is my biggest one. Extending plays, I have improved on that a lot. I have gotten a lot better plays out of the pocket. But my arm strength is the biggest strength.”
The offseason grind is working to the goal of varsity Logan Rogersville High School snaps this fall.
“My offseason workouts have been going well,” Manczuk shared. “On Mondays, I have morning workouts. Tuesday through Friday, I lift at home before school. On Tuesday and on Thursday, I lift at school. If we don’t workout at school, I workout again at home that night.
“Over the summer, I picked up a speed trainer working on getting faster for high school. My (QB) trainer played at Mizzou (2012-16), Maty Mauk. We work on routes and getting my timing down with my receivers. He helps me with my mechanics; he’s been training me since the third grade.”
The recruiting process is just beginning for Manczuk with a game-day visit taken to Oklahoma State during the 2023 season.
