In the recruiting world, there is great joy when finding an unfinished talent with great athleticism and an unlimited ceiling – that is London Green. Projected as a slot receiver at the next level, pound for pound, Green is as good as any other player in his class. All the skills have a flurry of recruiting interest coming to the Lennard High School (Ruskin, FL) prospect.
Operating within the Longhorns Spread-Air Raid attack, Green (5-10, 150) snagged 55 passes for 711 yards with 10 scores posted on the big board through nine games in 2024.
“Most of our routes were 10-plus (yards), like posts, digs, curls, and comebacks,” Green said. “We were finding space and doing deep over routes as well.”
Green continued, “I’m really good at one-on-one matchups, at the line especially. I worked hard during the offseason on winning my reps, being as open as possible, being aggressive, and making the DB uncomfortable.”
Ready to showcase his skills beyond the Sunshine State, the Class of 2026 prospect went to Texas for a three-day camp.
“It went great,” Green shared. “We got to Texas on the 17th, I believe, and the combine activity started the next day. It was a three-day camp. On the first day, we did warm-ups, position drills, and routes on air. On the second day, we did more of a combine day – the 40, broad jump, and L-drill. On the third day, that was the competing day. We did a lot of one-on-ones with coaches, scouts, and recruiters watching us.”
Programs up and down the east coast are checking in to learn more about Green.
“Some big-name schools are coming this spring,” Green said. “Schools came to my school before break; I talked to a couple of coaches then from Bucknell, St. Thomas, and Southeastern. Old Dominion, Louisville, Kennesaw State, Syracuse, FAU, FIU, Coastal Carolina, Temple, South Alabama, West Virginia, Toledo, South Dakota, and Utah Tech are some of the schools showing interest.”
The flood of recruiting interest will in turn get the Green family out and about in 2025.
“I was supposed to go to Old Dominion, I have a good relationship with their QB coach, but I went to the Army Bowl camp instead of going on the visit,” Green shared. “I am going to Old Dominion. When Kennesaw State comes here, I will go visit them. The mindset that my family and I have, we will go on as many visits as possible once the relationship is built.”
Green will further develop his game speed this offseason running track for Lennard with plans to compete in the 100, 200, and possibly the 400.
