South Carolina 2025 TE prospect Brock Feinberg adding LB to skill set, Clemson on Saturday
When college scouts see Brock Feinberg this fall, they will get more to evaluate. The FBU Freshman All-American will continue his trade as a tight end/H-back/inside receiver but is going back into the box as an inside linebacker when the 2023 season kicks off. As Feinberg fine-tunes his overall skills this offseason, interest is building, and teams are welcoming him on campus.
The rundown on college programs looking at Feinberg was provided.
“The big one is USC (South Carolina),” Feinberg said. “I have taken multiple visits there. I think they are looking at how I grow. Clemson is another. I am going up to their spring game this weekend on Saturday; they’ve been looking at me.
“Mercer and Elon, they have been looking at me. I am visiting Elon on Wednesday. Davidson, I just got a coach’s number from Davidson; he wants to talk. Campbell is also showing interest. Those are the schools most interested in me right now. I have connected with a lot of schools, but those are the ones I am in most contact with.”
Feinberg shared his enthusiasm for meeting up with the Phoenix coaching staff.
“My dad and all my friends have told me it is a beautiful campus and an awesome school,” Feinberg shared. “I will go there in the morning and Davidson right after. I’ve heard they make you feel like family. That’s what you want, I like hearing the coaches are awesome dudes.”
Visiting the Tigers on Saturday is a big draw for the Class of 2025 prospect.
“I am very excited,” Feinberg said. “I am working with former Clemson tight end Stanton Seckinger, he was a starter in 2013. Hopefully he will teach me what they did there to help me perfect my game to get that offer and play for them. I went up there last year for a visit, I love their facility; it is beautiful. Clemson is a close to home team. I am very excited; I always like going up there.”
BEYOND RECRUITING
Feinberg talked about his offseason workouts, “I am starting to play inside linebacker. I don’t want to hear that I am undersized for the position. I am doing speed training and running track, and I am working on my hips. I am working hard towards that.”
Asked about playing linebacker this year, Feinberg shared, “It is so much fun. I played it before I went to varsity. We are losing a starter this year; my coaches asked me if I would play it. I was a leading tackler on my team before I was brought up to varsity. I know I have the mental part to play linebacker; I am ready to play.”
