Dillon High School (6-1) is pouring it on 3A South Carolina squads this year behind a dynamic offense that is putting up 45 points per game on average. The architect drawing up the action out of the pocket for the Wildcats is 2026 QB Josiah Oxendine (6-0, 185). The dual threat is catching all the right attention along the recruiting trail with seven offers in-hand and game-day invites filling up his inbox.
Oxendine has spent his fall Saturdays watching college football games in the stands with stops at Appalachian State, Clemson, and Duke. Over the weekend Oxendine watched the Seminoles stay perfect with a 39-17 bouncing of Virginia Tech.
“I spoke with QB coach (Tony) Tokarz before and after game,” Oxendine said. “We talked about my season and their performance yesterday.”
Impressed with how FSU has been airing it out thus far throughout the season, the ground game got his attention on Saturday, “Their run game had the bigger plays yesterday.”
An update on the recruiting status with the Seminoles was given.
“I’m on their board for 2026 but no early offer yet,” Oxendine stated.
Oxendine got some face time with the head Seminole while in Tallahassee.
“Coach (Mike) Norvell did come in and visit everyone at our various tables during pregame meal,” Oxendine shared.
Next up for the 2026 gunslinger, “Tennessee on Oct. 14 (vs. Texas A&M), North Carolina on Oct. 21 (vs. Virginia), NC State on Oct. 28 (vs. Clemson), and Pitt on Nov. 4 (vs. FSU).”
Oxendine holds offers from Akron, Appalachian State, Florida A&M, Georgia Southern, Marshall, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee.
