Duncanville had another great season in their storied program as the Panthers finished 10-2 and reached the Texas state semifinals. One of the keys to their success in 2020 was the play of their defense which allowed just 15 points a game on average. Their defensive unit is full of future college prospects including junior safety Pierre Goree Jr.
The 6’2″, 200-pound, playmaker has blazing speed and athleticism to track down ball carriers and deliver big hits to his opponents. Goree also possesses good footwork and field vision.
This Class of 2022 recruit currently has 10 college offers including Arkansas and Cincinnati and is also drawing interest from several big-time programs including Oklahoma and Washington State. Goree is not only a star in the Duncanville secondary but is also a star on the track team where he ran a personal best of 10.25 seconds in the 100m dash.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Pierre to talk about his junior season and get an update on his recruiting process.
