Malachi Medlock is going to be one of the next great recruits to come out of the Lonestar State. After his sophomore season, the junior running back transferred from Permian to Duncanville to join the Panther’s powerhouse program, which is one of the top teams in the nation.
The 6’2”, 215-pound, power back has tremendous blocking ability and footwork. He uses his size and strength to help Duncanville in short yard situations and near the goal line. In the Panther’s win, last week to open the season, Medlock had 53 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The Class of 2022 recruit is already receiving interest from several colleges including Texas and Texas Tech. It’s only a matter of time before Medlock’s recruiting process starts to explode. Medlock is not only a hard worker on the football field and weight room but also in the classroom where he currently holds a 3.0 GPA.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Malachi to talk about his transfer to Duncanville, his team’s upcoming game against IMG Academy, and get an update on his recruiting process.
