Top Five Uncommitted High School Recruits in New England Area

The New England area produces talented college football recruits every year and the Class of 2016 is no different as high athletes from the northeast area of the country will go out and play college football all over the country.
Some notable football players to come out of New England, thrive at that college level, and make it to the NFL include former Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney, current Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Mike DeVito, and former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Horn.
Some top Class of 2016 recruits from New England area include Kingswood-Oxford (West Hartford, CT) linebacker Koby Quansah (Duke), Marshfield (MA) tight end Danny Dalton (Penn State), Salisbury (CT) tight end Jake Hescock (Wisconsin), and Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA) tight Sean McKeon (Michigan).
However there many top recruits in this area that are still weighing all their options before making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. These athletes are being looked at by college teams every day and have about four weeks before National Signing Day on Feb. 3 to make pick their college of choice.

Lucas Niang
6’6”, 295 pounds
Offensive Tackle
New Canaan High School, New Canaan, Connecticut
Fifteen offers but on Dec. 23 announced his top three schools which included Auburn, Miami, and TCU.
Official Visits: Auburn on Jan. 15 and TCU on Nov. 27.
Has the body control and balance to block at the left tackle position or make a targeted block on a blitzing linebacker. Uses his size and length to deliver a great initial punch. Does a great blocking in both the passing and running game.
Chris Agyemang
6’3”, 228 pounds
Outside Linebacker
Proctor Academy, Andover, New Hampshire
Three offers from Marist, Navy, and Sacred Heart
Official Visit: Sacred Heart on Jan. 28
2015 stats: 81 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 3 forced fumbles, 3 sacks, 2 passes deflected, and 1 interception.
Uses his strength and size to deliver big hits and not let opposing players escape from his tackles. Moves his feet well and uses his athleticism to make plays all over the field. Has a great leaping ability to break up passes.
Keith Coleman
6’3”, 326 pounds
Offensive Guard
Suffield Academy, Hartford, Connecticut
Three offers from Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Temple
Has great body control which he used to play tackle in high school but should be moved to guard at the college level. Has tremendous footwork and size which he uses to overpower opponents. Also has great blocking ability.
Jacob Hallenbeck
6’3”, 204 pounds
Quarterback
Kingswood-Oxford High School, West Hartford, Connecticut
2015 stats: Passing 35-of-60 854 yards, 12 touchdowns; Rushing 41 carries for 436 yards and 9 touchdowns
One offer: North Carolina
Interest: UConn, Umass, Syracuse University of Maine, Wagner, and Sacred Heart
Jacob has the ability to make plays with his legs and uses his speed to break away from defenders. Also has a strong arm as he can throw it all over the field with accuracy. His throwing motion is quick and smooth.
Chase Hughes
6’1”, 196 pounds
Outside Linebacker
Bishop Guertin, Nashua, New Hampshire
2015 stats: 112 total tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, 12 quarterback hurries, 5 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions
Three walk-on offers from Arizona, BYU, and Wisconsin
Hughes has the athleticism and strength to deliver big hits. Also uses his speed and footwork to track ball carriers all over the field. Another positive attribute is his tremendous vision.
