Being one of the top receivers for one of the top teams in the Sunshine State is paying off for Ryan Matulevich (6-0, 175). The Class of 2025 target has bonded with new QB Jadyn Glasser leading to wins on the board for Venice High School and stats piling up for Matulevich. Next level scouts are liking what they are seeing leading to more visit opportunities for the three-star prospect.
Eleven teams have dropped offers for Matulevich with new interest building.
“The teams reaching out the most are UCF, App State is reaching out a ton, Coastal Carolina is reaching out a ton, Iowa State, Texas A&M sending letters, and West Virginia too,” Matulevich said.
The Chanticleers haven’t offered yet but may when Texas State heads to Brooks Stadium.
“I am heading up there on the 11th,” Matulevich stated.
Matulevich spoke about heading to Conway, “I am super excited. I don’t know much about the program; I am excited to learn about it. They seem very interested in me; I am excited to put a face to the messages.”
Two other visits are in the works, “I might go to App State and to Auburn.”
The connection with the Mountaineers is in the early stages.
“I feel like it is just starting,” Matulevich shared. “So far, they are sending me a ton of mail and inviting me to games.”
The rapport with Auburn is also just getting going.
“That is just starting as well,” Matulevich stated. “They haven’t offered, but they’ve been mailing me; I’m guessing they’ve seen my film. I want to get up there to meet that staff and learn more about the program.”
On Sept. 30, UCF welcomed their 2025 target to the Bounce House.
“That was fun,” Matulevich said. “It was great to see coach (Grant) Heard (WR). I really liked what I saw in the offense. I had a great time up there.”
When the time comes, UCF has one of Matulevich’s key visits.
“I definitely want to take an official there,” Matulevich shared. “If I can go up there for another game this season, that would be great.”
The connection with Glasser has been hot all season. Matulevich has hauled in 21 passes for 314 yards tied for a team-high five receiving scores.
