UCLA Pulls 3-Star TE/WR Jordan Wilson out of Nashville
Written by Ryan Wright
Seems like UCLA head coach Jim Mora has been with the Bruins for several years but in fact he is just entering his third season in Westwood. After posting 9 and 10-win seasons in 2013 and 2014, the upward trend can only continue with the addition of top shelf talent. On Wednesday Mora and company added another key piece to their 2016 recruiting class luring Jordan Wilson out of Nashville, Tenn.
Moving Wilson to pledge to the Bruins was a big accomplishment given the background story. In mid-June Wilson reported a Top 5 of Louisville, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and Missouri. On June 17 the Bruins offered and in a little over a month sold the 3-star recruit on coming to Westwood for college. Other teams to offer Wilson includes Illinois, N.C. State, Marshall, Arkansas State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Western Kentucky, Oregon State, and Oklahoma State just to name a few.
Wilson made the commitment official on Twitter posting, “I am honored and blessed to say that I am officially committed to UCLA!!!” Following the message Wilson added the following note:
Once on campus, Wilson will join stud Class of 2015 tight end Chris Clark (Avon, CT) making an exceptional one-two punch in the passing game for UCLA.
The Bruins now have 14 verbal commitments to their 2016 recruiting class.
