Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, has been a banner day for the USC Trojans. With only two 5-Star recruits left along the recruiting trail, USC snagged the top-rated player in the 2021 recruiting class when defensive end Korey Foreman decided to stay home. Additionally, the Trojans also received a verbal commitment from 4-star 2021 receiver/defensive back Ceyair Wright.

Foreman rose to national prominence in recruiting as a difference maker for California powerhouse Centennial High School (Corona) with his play on the field over the past two seasons. The 6-4, 265-pound, end recorded 32 stops with five tackles for a loss, five sacks, and seven quarterback hurries during his junior season.

Nearing the 30-offer mark, Foreman was at top priority for college football programs across the country. Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Oregon, Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Georgia were among the many hoping to land the defensive standout. As part of the All-American Bowl Declaration Day, Foreman made his announcement on NBC.

Wright’s addition to the 2021 haul for USC helps push the class to No. 8 nationally with 13 players rated as 4-star recruits. Much like Foreman, Wright was highly recruited pushing his offer tally near 40 with all the same top programs seeking his blazing speed and big play abilities. The 6-1.5, 175-pound, skill player was spotlighted on Los Angeles’ Loyola High School’s secondary in 2019 with 52 tackles, 21 solo, and three interceptions. On special teams, Wright took back 10 kicks for 155 yards and 11 punts for 125. His touches on offense were limited to 10 receptions for 89 yards.

The only 5-star remaining on the board who has not declared publicly is Washington’s J.T. Tuimoloau from Eastside Catholic.
