USC Lands Backyard 3-Star 2017 DE Terrance Lang

The Trojans pushed their 2017 recruiting class to 15 commits on Thursday with the addition of Los Angeles area defensive end/offensive lineman Terrance Lang.
Lang suited up on both sides of the ball for Pasadena’s Maranatha High School. The 6-5, 278 pound, talent had a very solid senior season coming up with 40 tackles, 16 solo, eight tackles for a loss, two sacks, and a forced fumble in stats through eight games played.
USC won the recruiting battle for Lang over offers from Colorado, Oregon, Washington State, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Illinois, Tennessee, Cal, Texas A&M, and UCLA. Lang took an official visit to Colorado on Dec. 2 with a scheduled visit to Oregon on Jan. 13. The Trojans are set to host the area recruit on Jan. 21.

USC has started to pick up some momentum on the recruiting trail after a really hot summer that went cold during the season. Jacob Lichtenstein committed on Aug. 15 but fans waited until Nov. 13 for the next verbal pledge coming from Jack Sears. In December, USC has added Tayler Katoa and Lang.
Rivals ranks USC’s 2017 class No. 20 in the nation with eight four-star commits and six three-star talents. 247Sports rates the class No. 16 in the nation, No. 1 in the Pac-12.
