On Sunday Utah secured their 18th verbal commitment for the 2016 recruiting class when safety Ohaji Hawkins picked the Utes.
The Utes offered Hawkins back in April. Utah fought off offers from Western Kentucky, Army, Buffalo, Tennessee State, and in-state Division-I programs Florida Atlantic and Florida International to land the Winter Haven Senior talent.
Utah has pulled four recruits out of Florida with Hawkins joining St. Thomas Aquinas running back Devontae Henry-Cole (Fort Lauderdale), Hallandale wide receiver Demari Simpkins, and Hallandale quarterback Tyler Huntley.
