National high school powerhouse football program St. John Bosco is losing some terrific Division-I talent after another run to the California High School State Championship Game in 2015. The loss of quarterback Quentin Davis (Fresno State) and skill position talent on offense like running back Sean McGrew (Washington) along with wide receivers Devin Flemming and Jared Harrell may seem tough to overcome but help is on the way. The Braves once again have a deep and talented roster of returning players but have added a game breaker in wide receiver Terrell Bynum.

Bynum spent his sophomore and junior seasons playing for Servite High School, a rival of St. John Bosco’s in the Trinity League. The 6’1”, 180 pound speed burner caught 31 passes for 391 yards with five scores as a sophomore and turned up the yards after catch stat line as a junior with 39 receptions for 611 yards with three scores. Bynum also brings special teams experience to the Bellflower squad. During the 2015 season, Bynum had 11 punt returns for 68 yards and added another 392 kick return yards off 16 attempts taking one back 93-yards for a score.

Colleges see the difference Bynum could make to their own roster with 18 teams extending offers. The teams trying to get into the mix includes Oklahoma, Michigan, Miami, Arizona, Louisville, Tennessee, Nebraska, Arizona State, Washington, Utah, UCLA, and USC among others. Bynum has already started part of the recruiting process taking unofficial visits to Arizona, USC, and Washington and visited USC again on Saturday for their Junior Day.

I caught up with Bynum for a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview going over his camp circuit schedule and got a recruiting news update.
