The state of California is loaded with talent at the skill positions on the high school level on both sides of the ball. Many of the members of the 2017 class took advantage of opportunities to showcase their skill set for college coaches around the country to see during the 2015 season and Jaylan Shaw was one of the few to impress.

Shaw has been a regular on the field for the Huskies throughout his sophomore and junior season rotating in at corner for Centennial High School on their back-to-back runs to consecutive California Southern Section Championships and a runner-up finishes to De La Salle for the overall titles. Shaw came up with a stat line of roughly 20 tackles, two tackles for a loss, two interceptions with on returned 38 yards for a score, and one forced fumble during his junior campaign.

The 5’11”, 170 pound, emerging talent has started to showcase the skill set that continues to be fine-tuned at the Corona area high school running a 4.6 time in the 40-yard dash at the Nike Opening regional in Los Angeles on Feb. 28. Offers have started coming in with Washington State, UNLV, Hawaii, and Nevada being among the early schools hoping to land Shaw.
