It is tough for most sophomores to have a standout season in high school football, but perhaps even tougher in southern California and on a winning program. But an argument could be made that Class of 2018 linebacker Darien Butler was a big reason Narbonne High School went 14-2 in 2015.
The 6’0”, 220 pound, talent had 69 tackles, 48 solo, with at least three passes defended as a sophomore lining up in the middle and on the outside for the Gauchos.
I caught up with Butler at the Nike Opening Regional in Los Angeles getting the inside scoop on the camp, his offseason plans, and a recruiting news update.
