The offseason for Rancho Cucamonga High School’s Tayari Venable is a relaxed one by most standards for Class of 2017 recruits. In July of 2015, the rising safety/corner talent committed to Washington State taking some of the heat off of the recruiting process. Even though Venable is committed to the Cougars, offers continue to come in for the 6’0”, 180 pound, talent.
In addition to Washington State’s offer, Venable has been extended scholarships from Hawaii, Eastern Washington, and most recently UNLV. More offers and further interests are sure to come once Rancho Cucamonga begins the 2016 season and as Venable makes the rounds with unofficial visits. Venable has tentative visits set with WSU and Cal, for a second time, coming up. He is drawing interest from Stanford, Arizona State, USC, Northwestern, Michigan, Auburn, Boston College, Washington, Notre Dame, Colorado, and of course UCLA.
In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I got a couple of minutes with Venable during a UCLA visit to get his insight on what he was looking for from the Bruins practice and received a recruiting news update.
