Even though there were 15 FBS game cancelled in Week 11, there was still plenty of exciting action on the field for college football fans. No ranked teams played one another, but several ranked teams were in upset mode deep into their contests, namely Miami against Virginia Tech, Oregon against Washington State, and Northwestern verses Purdue. One ranked team, SMU, did suffer a loss coming at the hands of Tulsa on the AAC road.
There were several former RNG interviewees that had standout games, one worth noting is Miami defensive end Jaelan Phillips. Phillips was a beast against the Hokies coming up with eight stops, 2.5 sacks, and 4.5 tackles for a loss. What Phillips did was impressive, but hard to beat the 550 yards passing Sam Howell produced for North Carolina in their 59-53 shootout against Wake Forest.
