When Wisconsin landed A.J. Taylor on Saturday, the verbal commitment was just a formality but the recruitment was a big win.
Taylor is considered one of the top athletes in the 2016 recruiting class playing running back for powerhouse Rockhurst High School (Kansas City, MO) but also a major threat in the passing game thanks to his 4.4 forty-yard dash speed.
The 5’11”, 190 pound, athlete had offers from throughout the region spurning local schools like Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa, and Iowa State naming a Top 3 of Wisconsin, Maryland, and Northwestern.
The Badgers now have 16 verbal commitments to their 2016 recruiting class highlighted by North Carolina North Stanly High School 4-star running back Antonio Williams. Taylor is expected to line up as a slot receiver for Wisconsin but could also be used as a passing receiving threat out of the backfield.
